Kimberley songstress Tanya Ransom is touring her highly anticipated second album ‘The Art of Departing’ in 2018. Following the success of her debut album ‘It Is What It Is’ back in 2013, the Broome musician has toured nationally and performed at festivals around the country.
Recorded in Margaret River at The Hairy Back Marron Studio throughout February and March 2017, Ransom teamed up for the second time with fellow West Australian musician and sound engineer Dave Mann (We Two Thieves, Dave Mann Collective) and award winning sound engineer James Newhouse of Real2Reel (The Waifs, Ash Grunwald) to produce a well sculpted album laden with songs of loss and love, heartbreak and the beauty of the great southern land.
Her natural talent with words and melodies further accompany the laid-back soulful blues vibe perfectly and you’ll be able to have the full experience when she hits the Stout Stage from 6 P.M on Sunday the 28th of January.
