Froth Craft Brewery is incredibly stoked to have the pleasure of again hosting two of W.A's most compelling and talented live performers: Dave Mann & Bec Schofield take to the Stout Stage for the Sunday Sesh on the 14th of October from 6 P.M.
They've carved a name for themselves for goose bump inducing concerts so don't miss this dynamic duo and their unique vibe.
Bec and Dave's intimate music features soothing harmonies that meld into one through their favoured single mic performances. Mandolin, Irish bouzouki, slide and open-tunings come together to create their unique form of soul country music with its roots in folk blues.
Bec and Dave and their three young children traverse this amazing land (Australia) in their homebuilt veggie oil powered house truck. The people, places and stories of their adventures fuel their soulful songs and approach to life.
They really enjoyed supporting the Waifs on the big stage earlier this year, though what they LOVE is to play beautiful intimate house concerts. The gigs, festivals, residencies and projects they play often find them in very remote areas. All the while they're home schooling their three kids, hunting for veggie oil ;-) and adventure..
Since meeting in Kakadu, NT in 2008 it has been game ON. Between them they have a stack of releases and last July/August they released their first album TOGETHER 'Love is a Flood' along with the film clips to go with it. 'Love is a Flood' is a beautifully recorded album of acoustic duets which was enabled by their highly successful crowdfund campaign earlier this year. The title track was inspired from the birth of their twins.
Since 2011 Bec and Dave have been involved with Gascoyne in May project. During that time they’ve developed artistic alliances across cultures, valued friendships, connections and a strong affinity for that special country. Their songs, as said are inspired from their love of the land and family which is not devoid of challenge or for the faint of heart.
Bec and Dave awaken a campfire in the hearts of audiences wherever they go.
