Proud to present one of W.A's most promising music talents performing his final gig in Exmouth as he hits the road for good and embarks on his statewide 'Into the Sun Tour': JAMES ABBERLEY is live on the Stout Stage this Friday the 9th of November from 6 P.M. Free entry.

It will be sad to see him go but he's destined for great things... so save travels Jimmy! Come down and show your support and appreciation for all the amazing performances he has provided our region over the years.

In James' words:

"I have had such an incredible time over the last 5 years in Exmouth.. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing people that inspire me everyday.. And been to so many insanely incredible places to see things and creatures that I never thought I would..From the bottom of my heart, thank you Exmouth. The people, the place, and the Life πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™"

Originally from Adelaide, James' love of fishing and the outdoors has led him to integrate his love for the north-west in his hypnotic and talented take on blues n’ roots. James’ lyrics are well crafted and each song contains a compelling narrative. His musical journey has led him to use live percussion and looping to create a much grander sound with intense depth and captivating crescendos. After touring with Gascoyne in May 2018, he has formed a band with Dave Mann and Daz from Downsyde, called Children of the Tide, and will be recording and touring with this exciting new band over the summer. The band's first performance was brilliant and we had the pleasure of hosting it at Froth in May 2018 during Gascoyne in May.

In September 2011, James released his debut album (Some Kind Of Relief). The launch was held at the Governor Hindmarsh and was a huge success. In 2014, James followed up the release of his first album with an EP (Boy). Since releasing his debut album James has supported Xavier Rudd during his Spirit Bird tour, Ash Grunwald and the boys from The Living End during their Gargantua tour, as well as The Timbers.

Other highlights included a spot at the 2013 Fringe Festival, 2013 Lenswood Harvest Feast, 2014 Blenheim Music & Camping Festival, Ningalens Festivals 2015, 2016, 2017, Barefoot Coral Coast Tour 2018 and Ningaloo Whale Shark Festivals 2015 and 2016 (along with touring with the Gascoyne in May crew in 2017 and 2018).

James’s live shows have been described as both energetic and relaxing at the same time, with a perfect blend of upbeat folk tunes and entrancing falsetto break downs.
